A Compassionate

Opioid Epidemic

I have treated adolescent and young adults with opioid addiction for the past 7 years. I have seen many young lives lost to this epidemic and witnessed amazing stories of recovery.

In order to combat Ohio’s opioid crisis, we need a wide-ranging approach. We should be saving lives, treating not arresting, funding treatment, combating stigma, and working for mental health parity.

I know firsthand that education and job opportunities are critical to recovery. Many of my patients did not complete high school due to their addiction and now work in low-paying jobs, struggling to support their families and maintain stable housing. We must find ways to help individuals in recovery re-engage in education, develop skills, and find meaningful work.

Health Care

Affordable health care is a basic human right and should include mental and dental healthcare coverage for all. In addition, Ohio should prioritize legislation to ensure affordable prescription drug prices.

Women's Rights

The economic success of a nation is critically tied to women’s health. Equal pay, affordable childcare, and protection of reproductive rights are essential to the well-being of women and our state.

Jobs and the Economy

The health of our community depends on a vibrant economy. We need to invest in infrastructure to create jobs in Ohio, increase opportunities for skilled worker education, and raise the minimum wage. We should support small businesses and explore emerging industries.

Quality public schools are essential for our children and Ohio’s future. I also support efforts to make college tuition affordable and expand options for vocational training.

Gun Safety

Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate

I support common-sense gun reform. We need to treat gun violence like the public health crisis it is, and take action to fix it. I support stronger background checks and a ban on semi-automatic weapons.

I am proud to be recognized as a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate.

Ohio has long been a welcoming state to vibrant immigrant communities. The language we use to discuss immigration is incredibly important. Government officials should be respectful and compassionate to people in need.

I am an avid cyclist who finds comfort in nature. Protecting our green spaces is a priority. We can work together to make Ohio District 24 cleaner and more environmentally friendly. Renewable energy and green technologies should be an integral part of our infrastructure plans.
